Writing Happiness Giveaway: Win a Free Blog Critique in 2 Easy Steps

It’s time to say thank you to my loyal readers who have been following me for a while, I couldn’t be here without your support and kindness.

It’s also time to welcome my new subscribers. That includes you, looking at my blog for the first time today.

This is a Writing Happiness giveaway: a chance for TWO lucky people to win a highly personalized, free critique for their blogs.

The prize – Free Full Length Blog Critiques for TWO

What each will contain.

An Analysis of the First impressions 
Did you know that every first time visitor makes a decision – within first 3 SECONDS – if they like your blog or not. Are you doing everything right to get your message across?

This section will include a review of your blog title, your tag line, the chosen theme, design and usability elements, USP, social proof etc.

Suggestions for improvements.

An in-depth Discussion of your Content
Ok so now that you have the visitor’s attention, have you got what it takes for them to visit your blog again? To even become a subscriber? It’s all about the content.

Helping you to identify who are you writing for and rethink your blog purpose.

A discussion of your post titles; are they doing their job?

How does your writing compare in the genre of web writing. Is it scannable, benefit driven, key word friendly?

Consolidating everything so it comes together with a central cohesiveness – giving it that wow factor.

Suggestions for improvements.

Promotion Strategies
Simple things you can do to promote your blog. You don’t have to be a social butterfly, I am not.

What it will not contain.
How to optimize your blog for SEO, how to improve your graphics. I will advise on what you need to do as a blog writer. The focus will be on the content.

Here is How

All you have to do is …

1. Like Writing Happiness Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/WritingHappiness) If you already are a fan, leave a comment saying you would like a free critique.

2. Tweet this post. Don’t forget @WritingH mention.

2 simple steps – under 20 seconds.

Then leave a comment here saying you have done these things and you would like a critique.

The giveaway will run for a week, finishing on Tuesday, Nov 29, 2011.

I will do a draw on Nov 30 and pick TWO winners. The winners would be announced on the blog.

I will also contact you and let you know. If you have any specific questions related to your content, you can email them to me and I will include them in the critique.

I will email the document to you as a pdf format. In case you agree, I might consider publishing the critique as a Writing Happiness post thus bringing you some publicity as well.

If there is anything else you need clarification with AFTER the critique has been done, I am happy to get back to you via email.

That’s it.

      Hi Karen. great to hear from you. So glad you like my truths. When I moved from my personal blog to Writing Happiness, the general advice seemed to suggest to take them off – I didn’t. I think, for anyone visiting my blog for the first time, its a great way for them to know me at a glance. It tells them who am I as a person and what my values are and how my truths will continue to make an appearance throughout my posts.
